for the price. This is a beautiful faux leather fashion 'corset'. It comes with a rigid busk and is laced with a thick black ribbon. As the boning is lightweight and the faux leather a single layer, this is NOT a true corset. What it IS is a beautiful overbust fashion 'corset' that is very soft and comfortable on the inside. This would be wonderful for a non-period shoot or for a night of dancing. The sizes are a bit wonky, though.. I am a US dress size 7 and due to my bust size ordered the XL which was a very comfortable fit.
It's a great quality for the price and I'm quite pleased with my purchase.

This is a fun FASHION corset. The fabric is soft inside and has a nice faux leather look. It's not super heavy fabric, so you may see the line of your waistband if you are wearing something underneath. The busk (clasps down the front) are steel. I'm not sure if the boning is plastic or spiral steel bones, but either way, they are really flexible, so this is certainly NOT a tight lacing corset or anything like that. If you are wanting significant waist reduction, look elsewhere. It is nice for a bit of a nip in the waist. It's more straight across the top than sweetheart, but I still like it. For the price, it's great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is because I wish there was boning between the laces and the back opening. This would give the corset a but more structure and keep the laces from stretching or warping the fabric. This hasn't happened yet (I haven't worn it long), but I imagine that is where the corset will eventually fall apart. That being said, I don't anticipate it falling apart. I'm sure it will last years with occasional use. I was actually pleased with the quality. I struggled with what size to order, since I am in between sizes. I decided to go for the large, since I have a wide rib cage and corsets tend to crimp at my waist. I had no intention to lacing it super tight, so the large was perfect. However, if my rig cage tapered more, like many people's do, I would have been great with a medium. My measurements are about 40-31-42". I'm 5'7" and small D cup. The large is a touch loose on my bust (blame the rib cage throwing off the line) but I have no intentions of going bra-less under it outside the bedroom. I'll wear it over something else. I'm actually really excited to wear it out. I'm happy I got the large, but I'm sure the medium would have been fine as well. I think it's going to look stellar! I hope this helps someone else who is having trouble deciding on their size. I'm happy with my purchase!
